Mission

Medical Arts is a locally owned pharmacy and medical equipment provider in Fayetteville, AR and has been a staple in this community since founder Bob Patrick first opened the doors in 1959. Since that time a lot has changed in the practice of medicine, but our belief that trust is the most important aspect of a patient relationship has never changed. Our mission is to maintain the level of personal service that has made this organization a leader in the Northwest Arkansas health care community for almost fifty years and combine that with modern tools and technology to provide the highest standard of service to our patients and customers.
Services

- Delivery - We offer daily delivery of medicine in Fayetteville during the week free of charge. Equipment deliveries are scheduled throughout Northwest Arkansas as needed also at no charge.
- Insurance Billing - We accept most insurance and Medicare Part D prescription plans as a network pharmacy. Major medical or "durable medical" coverage is normally required to bill equipment and supplies. To that end we are a participating DME (durable medical equipment) provider with Medicare as well as Arkansas Managed Care, Private Healthcare Systems, and many more. This allows us to bill to the vast majority of plans in this area.
- 24 Hour Emergency Service - Both departments maintain an on-call emergency services line for use after hours and on weekends and holidays. The contact numbers for on-call associates are given on the voices messages at the numbers above.
- Drive-thru Window and Front Door Parking - No one will ever need to cross acres of parking lot at Medical Arts. It is important to us to facilitate easy and convenient access for everyone to pick up their medicine and supplies. Parking is normally available within a few feet of the front door and the drive-thru is always open during store hours.

Featured Product and Programs
Manual Wheelchairs

Manual wheelchairs are the most commonly prescribed medical equipment that we see, and we maintain a variety of styles and sizes to meet the necessity for a wide range of different patients. Wheelchairs are covered by Medicare and most insurance plans when medically necessary, and we are usually able to process all of the paper work in house so that the patient can concentrate on more important things. The lightweight chair we provide is the newer Medline Excel K4 with removable back wheels at the push of a button. This is an especially beneficial feature when lifting the chair and fitting it into a confined space in a vehicle is a concern.
Power Mobility

Our staff is very familiar with the Medicare coverage policy for power chairs and scooters and we are able to handle all of the paperwork involved with a referring physician. We firmly believe that a trusted provider with a local office is the best option for any medical application, especially devices as complicated as power to be sure that the equipment is properly maintained and that any problems can be immediately addressed.

U-Step Walker
Specifically designed to assist patients who have difficulty using a standard walker due to either a neurological disorder such as Parkinson's Disease or Multiple Sclerosis or restricted use of one hand, this innovative new device is being used in rehab facilities to treat those patients and is covered for home use by Medicare and many insurance companies.
Diabetic Shoes

We measure and fit for therapeutic diabetic shoes. Inserts are custom molded based on a cast taken of the patient's feet and returned to us within 6 weeks of order. Medicare does allow for 1 pair of shoes for diabetic beneficiaries every calendar year.
Gifts for Health and Wellness

An often overlooked gift idea is that related to safety, comfort or fitness. The above cover a wide price range, but all would be very much appreciated when given to the right person and all are maintained in stock at Medical Arts. We have been particularly pleased with the portable grab bar manufactured by Health Circle. Easily attached and removed with the locking suction lever, this product meets a rigorous weight capacity standard and is perfect for travel or at home when repositioning of a safety rail is required.
